ABOUT
More About Heather
She volunteers as a mentor to new moms through the Parent Connection program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Heather received her B.A. in Psychology from Tulane University and her Certificate in Professional Coaching from New York University. She is also certified as a Postpartum & Infant Care Doula through ProDoula and a Pediatric Sleep Consultant through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management (CPSM).
Heather is a “retired” indoor cycling instructor and is always game to try the hottest trend in fitness classes. Recently she has gotten into mindfulness practice and enjoys starting her sessions with a meditation. Heather is the mother of two, and equally values that role she plays with her professional career. Her mission is to help women find a sense of balance and fulfillment in developing their new dual-identity as a professional and a mother.
After returning to work from her first parental leave, Heather continued to climb the corporate ladder, landing a new, demanding job at a global advertising agency when her first child was just 10 months old. Less than a year into that job, and just over a year into motherhood, she realized that what her career looked like before kids was not suited for her new lifestyle. She hit the pause button for two months, pursuing consulting work and three different educational programs to discover what would work best for both her ambition and her family. Flash forward, Heather has a job she loves in a new field, a second child, and three certifications that allowed her to launch GLDN Hours as a passion project on the side. Heather is energized to help other women discover the sense of balance and fulfillment that she was able to find. She believes that women can reinvent themselves during transitions to arrive at a fulfilling life made for the moment they are in right now.
Why GLDN Hours?
Heather inherited a family home, along with her siblings, in midcoast Maine that you can find her slipping away to in all seasons for relaxation, lobster, and epic beachside sunsets. This place serves as the inspiration for GLDN Hours.
Most commonly used in photography, the “golden hour” is the moment after the sun sets or rises when the lighting is bolder yet tranquil and a day is about to begin or end. We all have these magic transitional moments in our lives, and GLDN Hours exists to help make them bold yet tranquil.
